The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department Corrections Bureau, also known as the Pierce County Jail, is located at 910 Tacoma AVE S, Tacoma, WA 98402. This County Jail is quite large, and has the capacity to house 1700 inmates. They also have 300 COs and other correctional staff on hand.

There are two jail facilities within the county jail, referred to as the “New Jail” and “Main Jail”. The Main Jail has been a staple of the county since 1985, while New Jail was built in 2003.
